The Vecsys Research
* VoxSigma
® Software Suite provides
round-the-clock automatic trancriptions of France 24 videos. On March
26th France 24 announced including this functionality in its high
quality video player. The automatic transcripts are further processed
for the extraction of keywords and combined with the search technology
of Exalead, to enable automatic semantic indexation of the news 24
hours a day. This new functionality is available on the France 24 Lab
(

Founded in July 2000, Vecsys Research is an R&D company
developing and providing leading edge speech technologies and
solutions for many languages, including Arabic, Dutch, English,
French, Greek, Italian, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.
The Vecsys Research VoxSigma
® software suite uses
advanced language technologies such as language identification, speech
recognition, and speaker recognition to transform raw audio and
audiovisual data into structured and searchable XML documents. The
technology relies on over 25 years of research at LIMSI-CNRS, with
which there is a priviledge partnership.
The most common applications of VoxSigma software suite technology are
audio and audiovisual data mining (broadcast data, podcasts, call
center data), media monitoring, and media asset management.
