Vocapia participates in the
Quaero
program which aims to promote research and industrial innovation of
technologies for the automatic analysis and classification of
multimedia and multilingual documents.
Within the Quaero program, Vocapia Research is improving and supplying
speech processing solutions for Web data such as news channels,
podcasts, and lectures, covering many European languages as well as
Arabic and Chinese. Vocapia provides software for audio segmentation,
language identification, speaker diarization, and
speech-to-text conversion.
Via the Quaero application projects, Vocapia's technologies are used by
Quaero partners such as France-Telecom (video access on web portals),
Technicolor (personalized video content), Yacast (media monitoring),
Exalead (multimedia search engine) and Bertin Technologies (media mining).
The program is largely driven by evaluation of the underlying
technologies as well as the development of demonstrators and
prototypes to assess the technological maturity of the research and
development results.
